Connections

Connections let you link external accounts to your Stellar Passport profile. This can unlock additional features, verify your identity, and complete certain challenges.

GitHub

Connecting your GitHub account:

• Verifies your developer identity
• Unlocks GitHub-specific challenges during events
• Displays your GitHub profile on your passport

How to connect

1. Go to your profile settings
2. Tap Connect GitHub
3. Authorize the Passport app on GitHub
4. Done — your GitHub username will appear on your profile

You can disconnect at any time from the same settings page.

What connections are used for

• Challenge completion — Some challenges require a connected GitHub account
• Identity verification — Builders and admins can see verified connections
• Profile enrichment — Your passport displays connected accounts

Privacy

• Passport only requests minimal permissions when connecting accounts
• Your connection data is used solely within Passport
• You can revoke access at any time from your account settings or directly from GitHub’s authorized apps page
